Tarkett Vinyl Flooring Description

Tarkett Vinyl is Tarkett's oldest product and has their most extensive collection. Their resilient flooring is some of the best available, and is at the forefront of technological and stylistic innovation. Their TruTex and Nature's Touch surface texturing embossment techniques available on many of their floors create ultra-realistic floors that mimic the appearance of real wood flooring, stone or ceramic tile. Their Guardian Protection System core provides stain and scratch resistance and protects your vinyl floor from ripping, tearing or from indentations and gouges. Some of their floors offer WearGuard wear layers, which provides the same type of stain and wear resistance found in laminate or hardwood floors.

All their collections have a variety of patterns, from marble/slate to stone/ceramic tile or even vinyl that resembles hardwood flooring. Some of their most popular products are their Presence and Style Brite collections with 10 year warranties, their top-of-the-line Infinity series with a 15 year warranty and a lifetime wear and manufacturing defects warranty, and the Preference Plus series of low-cost vinyl floors with a 6 year warranty and their Nature's Touch surface texture. One of their latest product lines is the City View series, which offers an 8 year warranty and Nature's Touch embossing.

Tarkett Description

Tarkett USA has roots to several separate companies, but mostly stems from two: Tarkett and Domco. Domco was the oldest company, having started as a linoleum manufacturer called Dominion Oil Cloth back in the early 1870s. Meanwhile, Tarkett was originally based in Sweden, and by the late 19th century had acquired a reputation as a renowned flooring manufacturer. In the 1970s, Tarkett was bought by Swedish Match AB, whom would later rename themselves Tarkett after merging with another German company, and partnered with the Harris Hardwood Company to form Harris-Tarkett, which became a respected name in the hardwood flooring industry. Meanwhile Domco had been building its reputation as a leader in commercial linoleum and vinyl floors, acquiring the companies Azrock and Nafco. In 1999, Domco acquired both Tarkett and Harris Tarkett, and the companies formed what we know today as Tarkett.

Tarkett is one of the leaders in resilient, hardwood and laminate flooring in North America, second only to Armstrong. Their products are known for high quality and durability, maintaining their place in the market by continually keeping up with the latest flooring trends. From resilient vinyl, hardwood floors, laminate, luxury vinyl and their patented durable FiberFloor, Tarkett offers a wide range of products and is one of the biggest names in the industry.
