How do I clean my Tarkett floor?
Tarkett floors are easy to care for. Just sweep or vacuum to remove any dirt or grit. Wash the floor with Tarkett SureShine® Floor Cleaner or other floor cleaner suitable for resilient flooring.
Do I have to wax my Tarkett floor?
Tarkett floors do not require waxing or polishing. However, applying polish will provide additional protection for the floor. If you choose to apply a polish, we recommend using Tarkett SureShine® High Gloss Polish or Tarkett SureShine® Satin Gloss Polish, depending on the finish of your floor.
What kind of rugs or mats can I use on my Tarkett floor?
Some rubber-backed rugs and mats may stain your Tarkett floor. We recommend using a nonstaining type rug or mat. Contact the manufacturer of the rug or mat to determine if it is acceptable to put over a Tarkett floor.
What kind of floor protectors should I use?
Frequently moved furniture should have wide, smooth, non-staining, protective load bearing rests installed. Hard plastic glides are common and should be non-pigmented and at least one inch in diameter. Felt pads are acceptable. Rubber type floor protectors may stain your Tarkett floor.
How do I remove stains from my Tarkett floor?
To avoid staining, wipe up any spills immediately with a damp cloth or mop. Most household stains can be removed with Tarkett SureShine® Floor Cleaner. See the Tarkett Consumer Protection Guide for more information on common stains.
How is my Tarkett floor installed?
Tarkett resilient sheet flooring may be installed using the Full-Spread or Glueless Installation Systems. See the Tarkett Resilient Sheet Flooring Installation Manual for more information.
What surfaces can I install Tarkett flooring over?
Tarkett Resilient Sheet Flooring can be installed over above grade, on grade or below grade concrete substrates, above grade plywood substrates and approved, properly prepared existing floors. See the Tarkett Resilient Sheet Flooring Installation Manual for more information.
Can Tarkett Sheet Flooring be installed over radiant heated floors?
Tarkett resilient flooring may be installed over radiant heated floors. The operating temperature shall not exceed 85ºF (29ºC).
If my floor is damaged, can it be repaired?
Yes, the floor can be repaired in different ways depending on the severity of the damage. A qualified, professional installer can perform most repairs.
